Well, I am back from Savannah. Actually Tybee Island. The trip should have taken about 4 1/2 hours but my dear Hoochie CiCi decided to take back roads. So here we go... 2:00 PM sharp, 4 girls in a PT Cruiser took the faster, back roads to the beach. We rode, and rode, and rode. Around 8:30 PM we call the other 14 girls who took the slower, highway method and got there hours before us.
So all the other hoochies were at the tattoo shop, so we just decided to meet them there vs. going to the beach house to unpack. We got lost and around 9:30 PM I finally was in the process of getting my tattoo. I did it. I actually did it. I fought crying the entire time and told Jason, my artist, that he was my first... and my last. I vaguely remember telling my friend Tamara who was taking pictures left and right some horrible things I would do to her if she did not stop. But I did it. I got the forever mark right above my right hip. It's the Chinese symbol for No Regrets. I love it. I will never do it again. Here's a picture since I can't seem to get it to load: http://static.flickr.com/114/292285722_b74a3782da_m.jpg Sorry - this was taken this morning as I was getting ready for work and I did not have time to post a great trashy picture...
So there was a lot of drinking and shopping. Uh hem... did ya read my previous post "Tom Girl"? I really don't like shopping, but I was a trooper in the 32-degree weather with strong winds coming off the beach. The few glimpses of the ocean (and yes, our house was on the beach) just seemed to be the darkest gray, scary, couldn’t see a damn thing around you water. It was the ugliest color and other than looking out the window, that's all the time, I spent on the ocean. I have since come up with a new name for the color I saw from the porch while smoking and drinking my coffee... whale water.
Saturday night, GA Tech played NC State. Now we did not get the game because it only came on ESPN U, which is a satellite station (sp? who cares). So I spent most of Sat. evening with an alarm clock and foil trying to get reception to hear the game. Thank goodness we won or I would have been in a terrible mood.
Hey ... good news! TC got drunk. I am so proud of her. She was hysterical but she reads this fascinating blog so what happens in Tybee ... stays in Tybee.
Okay let's see what else. Oh. We spent the next day taking the "short cut" back home. Hell, it was Sunday. We made it home in 6 1/2 hours. Thank goodness for cell phones with Internet and texting capabilities. Did I mention I was in the back seat? Glad to be home. Though I do love my hoochies and being with them.
Well Jon Bon Jovi is up on the CMA awards and he needs my undivided attention.

You have a lot of patience to sit in a car that long. I couldn't do it...

It's been a while since my last road trip. S, NEVER TAKE THE BACKROADS!!!
Oh, too late.
Okay, NEVER AGAIN TAKE THE BACKROADS!!!
Trish: I know. I had no choice. If I had another option I would have taken it. I did however make Margaritas in the back seat.
Gina - you got to plan one. There's no day like today girl!
Jas - I'll keep this in mind next time. I just need to drive.
So when are you going to show us your tattoo? Is it all healed yet?

Okay queen... you asked for it. ROFL. Here I go.
