STACY/JUROR #6: Yes, I would like to speak to you, ummm approach the bench?

JUDGE: Sure

STACY/JUROR #6: I fear for my life

JUDGE: You should not fear the defendant

STACY/JUROR #6: No, not the defendant...I fear Juror Number 2. I cut her off in traffic this morning then stole her parking spot…


I have jury duty this week. I'm a first timer and did not know what to expect so of course I bring everything... purse, books, cell, laptop, newspaper (have to keep up with my March Madness Bracket) and my starbucks.

Okay - so you really can't bring any of those in except the purse and books. Who knew?

I did a lot of waiting and a little reading then started picking cute guys that could potentially be in the same boat I’m in. There were a few but they were slim pickins'. Finally we are called in the court room and of course since EVERYONE tells me I won’t be picked, I am picked.

Sigh. I must be there at 9:00 am tomorrow morning.

I will try to separate fact from emotional stuff. It’s hard having to decide on someone's future. It is a unique opportunity. So I am trying to make this inconvenience into a positive experience and hope that if I am ever prosecuted, I have a jury that feels the same.
